## How do you connect Toggl to Workload?

Copy the Toggl API token of a workspace admin (Profile settings), create a Toggl integration in Workload, and paste it. Every 4 hours Workload imports the team's time entries (project, duration, date, description), attaches them to your projects and members, and compares them with the plan.

## Prerequisites

- A Workload account on the Professional plan or above
- The API token of a Toggl workspace admin on a paid plan (to import the whole team); otherwise only the token owner's entries are imported

## Step-by-step setup

1. In Toggl, sign in with a workspace admin account, open Profile settings, and copy the API token.
2. In Workload, open Settings > Timesheet integrations and choose Toggl.
3. Paste the token, then test the connection: Workload confirms the account is recognized.
4. Create the integration and run a first sync.
5. Map Toggl projects to your Workload projects (automatic matching by name, editable).

## Good to know

- With an admin token on a paid Toggl plan the whole team is imported (Toggl's team reports are not available on the free plan); otherwise Workload is limited to the entries of the token's own account.
- Automatic sync every 4 hours, or on demand.
- Entries with no Toggl project cannot be attached automatically to a Workload project.
- Each entry is attached to the Workload member whose email (or, failing that, exact name) matches its Toggl author; without a single match, it stays unassigned.

## Frequently asked questions

### Where do I find the Toggl API token?

In Toggl, under Profile settings, in the “API Token” section.

### Are already imported entries duplicated?

No. Each entry is identified by its Toggl ID and updated if it changes.

### Can you import the whole team, and several workspaces?

One admin token is enough to import a whole workspace's team. For another workspace, create an additional integration, within your plan's integration limit.
