How do you connect Clockify to Workload?
Generate an API key in Clockify with an owner or admin account (Settings > API), create a Clockify integration in Workload, and paste it. Every 4 hours Workload imports the team's time entries from your Clockify workspace and attaches them to your projects and members.

Available from the Professional plan.

What gets synced
- Clockify → Workload: the team's time entries (project, duration in hours, date, description, author)
Prerequisites
- A Workload account on the Professional plan or above
- A Clockify API key from a workspace owner or admin (to import the whole team); with a regular user's key, only that user's entries are readable
Step-by-step setup
- In Clockify, sign in with an owner or admin account, open Settings > API, and generate an API key.
- In Workload, open Settings > Timesheet integrations and choose Clockify.
- Paste the key, then test the connection: Workload confirms the account is recognized.
- Create the integration and run a first sync.
- Map Clockify projects to your Workload projects (automatic matching by name, editable).
Good to know
- By default, the first workspace of the Clockify account is used.
- Workload reads the entries of every workspace user; if the key only grants access to its own account, only its entries are imported. Running timers are ignored until stopped.
- Automatic sync every 4 hours, or on demand.
- Each entry is attached to the Workload member whose email (or, failing that, exact name) matches its Clockify author; without a single match, it stays unassigned.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I find the Clockify API key?
In Clockify, under Settings > API, by generating a key.
Which workspace is used?
The account's first workspace, unless another ID is explicitly configured.
Are duplicates avoided?
Yes. Each entry is identified by its Clockify ID and updated if it changes.
