Workload

Last updated :

What is Workload?

Workload is the amount of work (in days, hours, or FTEs) demanded of a person, team, or skill over a given period by projects and run activities.

Key points

Workload is demand; capacity is supply. Capacity planning is about confronting the two.

A distinction is made between planned workload (estimated) and actual workload (from timesheets).
